وتنص الأنظمة السارية على أن يقوم المتعاقد والأمين العام بإجراء استعراض مشترك لتنفيذ خطة عمل الاستكشاف مرة كل خمس سنوات.

4-4 على المتعاقد والأمين العام أن يقوما، في موعد لا يتجاوز 90 يوما قبل انقضاء كل فترة مدتها خمس سنوات من تاريخ بدء سريان هذا العقد وفقا للبند 3 منه، بإجراء استعراض مشترك لتنفيذ خطة عمل الاستكشاف بموجب هذا العقد.
