The Adaptation Committee should also, noted several Parties, take into account the work programme on loss and damage and its outcomes in order to recommend further action.

25. The Adaptation Committee is mindful of the work being carried out under the SBI on the implementation of the work programme on loss and damage.

Also requests the Subsidiary Body for Implementation to elaborate, at its thirty-eighth session, activities under the work programme on loss and damage, to further the understanding of and expertise on loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, taking into account the provisions contained in paragraph 7 above;

II. Proceedings 5. The four expert meetings on a range of approaches to address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change took place in the context of thematic area 2 of the work programme on loss and damage.
5- عُقدت الاجتماعات الأربعة للخبراء، المنظّمة من أجل تحديد طائفة من نُهُج التصدي للخسائر والأضرار المرتبطة بالآثار الضارة الناجمة عن تغير المناخ، في سياق تناول المجال المواضيعي الثاني من برنامج العمل المتعلق بالخسائر والأضرار.

118. The SBI expressed its gratitude to the Government of Fiji for hosting the expert meeting referred to in decision 3/CP.18, paragraph 10(a), and to the Governments of Australia, Japan and Norway and the European Union for providing financial support for the implementation of activities under the work programme on loss and damage.
