The Council's work on Peace and security continues to depend on the effectiveness of measures taken under various sanctions regimes.

The Conference adopted the Kigali Plan of Action for Conflict-affected Areas and the Kigali Declaration on Peace.

Recalling the Yamoussoukro Declaration on Peace in the Minds of Men and acknowledging the observance in 2014 of the twenty-fifth anniversary of its adoption,

We are glad that the Secretary-General sees those as tasks for the entire United Nations system to carry out because there was some ambiguity in his report, which listed those tasks in the section on Peace and security as elements of the even more ambiguous concept of human security.
ويسرنا أن الأمين العام يعتبر هذه المهام وظائف يتعين على منظومة الأمم المتحدة بأسرها أن تقوم بها، ولكن لأنه كان في تقريره شيء من الغموض، حيث وردت فيه تلك المهام في الجزء المتعلق بالسلام والأمن بوصفهما عنصرين لمفهوم يشوبه غموض أكبر وهو مفهوم الأمن الإنساني.

More than 75 teachers and 50 youth leaders were trained, and a national education conference was held in Lima on Peace and disarmament education, with 1,000 teachers in attendance.
كما خضع أكثر من 75 مدرسا و 50 من قادة الشباب للتدريب؛ وعُقد مؤتمر وطني للتعليم في ليما حول التثقيف المتعلق بالسلام ونزع السلاح شارك فيه 100 مدرس.

Through the adoption of the Declaration on Peace, Security, Democracy and Development in the Great Lakes Region, the Members of the Committee recognize the link between peace in the Great Lakes region and their own subregion.
وباعتماد الإعلان المتعلق بالسلام والأمن والديمقراطية والتنمية في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى، يعترف أعضاء اللجنة بالصلة القائمة بين السلام في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى ومنطقتهم دون الإقليمية.

27. Mainstreaming the rights of persons belonging to minorities in the work of the United Nations on Peace and security and development can significantly enrich that work and enhance its impact.
27 - ويمكن أن يؤدي إدماج حقوق الأشخاص المنتمين إلى الأقليات في صميم عمل الأمم المتحدة المتعلق بالسلام والأمن والتنمية إلى إثراء ذلك العمل بدرجة ملموسة وتحسين أثره.

Sharing the concern expressed by the United Nations Security Council that the sides have not signed the agreement on Peace and guarantees for the prevention of armed confrontation and the protocol on the return of refugees to Gali district and measures for economic rehabilitation and supporting the recommendation that the sides resume bilateral talks to this end,
وإذ يشارك في القلق مجلس اﻷمن التابع لﻷمم المتحدة إزاء عدم توقيع الطرفين للاتفاق المتعلق بالسلام وضمانات تجنب الصدامات المسلحة والبروتوكول المتعلق بعودة اللاجئين إلى منطقة غالي وتدابير إنعاش الاقتصاد، وإذ يؤيـد التوصية الداعيـة إلـى استئناف الطرفين المفاوضات الثنائية تحقيقا لهذه الغاية.

The Council also decided that, within one month, the sides should finalize and sign the draft agreement on Peace and guarantees for the prevention of armed confrontation and the draft protocol on the return of refugees to the Gali district and measures for economic rehabilitation.
وقرر المجلس أيضا أن ينتهي الطرفان في غضون شهر واحد من وضع مشروع الاتفاق المتعلق بالسلام وضمانات تجنب الصدامات المسلحة ومشروع البروتوكول المتعلق بعودة اللاجئين إلى منطقة غالي وتدابير إنعاش الاقتصاد وأن يوقعا عليهما.

Recalling, in particular, the Brazzaville Declaration on Cooperation for Peace and Security in Central Africa, the Bata Declaration for the Promotion of Lasting Democracy, Peace and Development in Central Africa and the Yaoundé Declaration on Peace, Security and Stability in Central Africa;
وإذ يذكر بشكل خاص بإعلان برازافيل بشأن التعاون من أجل السلام واﻷمن في وسط أفريقيا، وإعلان باتا لتعزيز الديمقراطية والسلام والتنمية المستدامة في وسط أفريقيا، وإعلان ياوندي المتعلق بالسلام واﻷمن والاستقرار في وسط أفريقيا؛

(k) Dar es Salaam Declaration on Peace, Security, Democracy and Development in the Great Lakes Region among all countries in the Great Lakes region of 20 November 2004;
(ك) إعلان السلام المتعلق بالسلام والأمن والديمقراطية والتنمية في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الصادر عن جميع البلدان في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى والمؤرخ 20 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2004؛

(f) Consideration and adoption of the report of experts on Peace and security in Central Africa;
(و) النظر في تقرير الخبراء المتعلق بالسلام والأمن في وسط أفريقيا واعتماده؛

5. The sides shall, within one month, finalize the draft agreement on Peace and guarantees for the prevention of armed confrontation and the draft protocol on the return of refugees to Gali district and measures for economic rehabilitation, and shall sign those documents.
٥ - أن ينتهي الطرفان، في غضون شهر واحد، من وضع مشروع الاتفاق المتعلق بالسلام وضمانات تجنب الصدامات المسلحة ومشروع البروتوكول المتعلق بعودة اللاجئين إلى منطقة غالي وتدابير إنعاش الاقتصاد وأن يوقعا عليهما.

In this connection, the Abkhaz side believes that there is a need for the speedy signing of the draft agreement on Peace and guarantees for the prevention of armed confrontation and protocol on the return of refugees to the Gali district and measures for economic rehabilitation prepared during the June Georgian-Abkhaz consultations.
وفي هذا الصدد، يعتقد الجانب اﻷبخازي أن هناك حاجة إلى اﻹسراع بالتوقيع على مشروع الاتفاق المتعلق بالسلام وبضمانات منع المواجهة المسلحة والبروتوكول المتعلق بعودة اللاجئين إلى قطاع غالي وبتدابير اﻹصلاح الاقتصادي، اللذين جرى إعدادهما خلال المشاورات التي جرت بين جورجيا وأبخازيا في حزيران/يونيه.

4. The President of the Republic of Turkey expressed his support to the realization of the principles of the Tbilisi Declaration on Peace, Security and Cooperation in the Caucasus Region (A/51/89, annex), signed by the President of the Azerbaijani Republic and the President of Georgia.
٤ - وأعرب رئيس جمهورية تركيا عن دعمه لتحقيق مبادئ إعلان تبليسي المتعلق بالسلام واﻷمن والتعاون في منطقة القوقاز A/51/89)، المرفق(، الذي وقعه رئيسا جمهورية أذربيجان وجمهورية جورجيا.

The Statement on Peace in South-East Asia on the Eve of the Third Millennium, adopted by the participants in the ASEAN Regional Symposium on Cooperative Peace in South-East Asia, held at Jakarta, Indonesia, on 11 and 12 September 1998, is contained in appendix III below.
يرد في التذييل الثالث أدناه البيان المتعلق بالسلام في جنوب شرقي آسيا عشية حلول اﻷلفية الثالثة. وقد اعتمده المشاركون في الندوة الاقليمية المعنية بالسلام القائم على التعاون في جنوب شرقي آسيا، التي عقدتها رابطة أمم جنوب شرقي آسيا في جاكرتا، إندونيسيا يومي ١١ و ١٢ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٨.

7. The mission took place immediately after the first summit of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region of Africa in Dar es Salaam, which had concluded successfully with the adoption of the Declaration on Peace, Security, Democracy and Development in the Great Lakes Region.
7 - وجاءت البعثة مباشرة عقب انعقاد مؤتمر القمة الأول للمؤتمر الدولي المعني بمنطقة البحيرات الكبرى في أفريقيا، في دار السلام الذي اختتم أعماله بنجاح باعتماد الإعلان المتعلق بالسلام والأمن والديمقراطية والتنمية في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى.

The Council also decided that the two sides would accelerate work on the draft Protocol on the return of refugees to the Gali district and measures for economic rehabilitation and Agreement on Peace and guarantees for the non-resumption of hostilities, which have been discussed intermittently since June 1998.
كما قرر المجلس أن يعجل الطرفان في العمل على إعداد مشروع بروتوكول يتعلق بعودة اللاجئين إلى منطقة غالي وتدابير الإنعاش الاقتصادي، والاتفاق المتعلق بالسلام وبضمانات عدم استئناف أعمال القتال، اللذين يناقشان بصفة متقطعة منذ حزيران/يونيه 1998.
