5. In accordance with the Decision on strengthening the review process for the Treaty, NPT States Parties undertook to accept greater accountability of their actions.

16. The 2000 Review Conference should also consider the implementation of the decision on " Strengthening the Review Process for the Treaty " .

It is not the intention of Japan to reopen or renegotiate the decision on strengthening the review process for the Treaty in 1995, but rather to improve the operation of the Preparatory Committee in carrying out its own terms of reference provided for in that decision.

Another important outcome of the Conference, in conjunction with the extension decision, was the adoption, again without a vote, of the Principles and objectives for nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, as well as of the decision on strengthening the review process for the Treaty.
والحصيلة الهامة اﻷخرى التي توصل إليها المؤتمر، بالاقتران مع قرار التمديد، أنه اعتمد، دون تصويت أيضا، المبادئ واﻷهداف لعدم الانتشار النووي ونزع السلاح النووي، وكذلك القرار المتعلق بتعزيز عملية استعراض المعاهدة.

The Conference requests that the President of the Conference bring the present decision, the decision on strengthening the review process for the Treaty and the decision on the extension of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, to the attention of the heads of State or Government of all States and seek their full cooperation on these documents and in the furtherance of the goals of the Treaty.
يطلب المؤتمر الى رئيس المؤتمر أن يوجه انتباه رؤساء دول أو حكومات جميع الدول الى المقرر الحالي، والمقرر المتعلق بتعزيز عملية استعراض المعاهدة، والمقرر المتعلق بتمديد معاهدة عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية، وأن يلتمس تعاونهم التام بشأن هذه الوثائق وفي تعزيز أهداف المعاهدة.

Having reaffirmed article VIII, paragraph 3, of the Treaty and the need for its continued implementation in a strengthened manner and, to this end, emphasizing the decision on strengthening the review process for the Treaty and the decision on principles and objectives for nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, also adopted by the Conference,
وقد أعاد تأكيد الفقرة ٣ من المادة الثامنة من المعاهدة وضرورة مواصلة تنفيذها بصورة معززة، وإذ يؤكد، تحقيقا لهذه الغاية على أهمية المقرر المتعلق بتعزيز عملية استعراض المعاهدة والقرار المتعلق بمبادئ وأهداف عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية ونزع السلاح النووي اللذين اتخذهما المؤتمر أيضا،

وقد أعاد تأكيد المادة الثامنة، ٣ من المعاهدة وضرورة مواصلة تنفيذها بطريقة مشددة، وإذ يؤكد، تحقيقا لهذه الغاية على أهمية المقرر المتعلق بتعزيز عملية استعراض المعاهدة والقرار المتعلق بمبادئ وأهداف عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية ونزع السلاح النووي اللذين اتخذهما المؤتمر أيضا،

The Conference requests that the President of the Conference bring this decision, the Decision on strengthening the review process of the Treaty, the Decision on the Extension of the Treaty and the Final Declaration of the Conference to the attention of the heads of State or Government of all States and seek their full cooperation on these documents and in the furtherance of the goals of the Treaty.
٢ - يطلب إلى رئيس المؤتمر أن يوجه انتباه رؤساء دول أو حكومات جميع الدول إلى هذا القرار، والى المقرر المتعلق بتعزيز عملية استعراض المعاهدة، والمقرر المتعلق بتمديد المعاهدة، والاعلان الختامي للمؤتمر، وأن يلتمس تعاونهم التام بشأن هذه الوثائق وفي تعزيز أهداف المعاهدة.
