Several States parties have ratified a regional convention relating to violence against women and legislation with regard to violence against women in the home, and criminalizing marital rape has been introduced.
وصدقت عدة دول أطراف على اتفاقية إقليمية تتعلق بالعنف ضد المرأة، وسنت تشريعات تتعلق بالعنف ضد المرأة في نطاق اﻷسرة وتجريم الاغتصاب الزوجي.

The Declaration specifically affirms that violence against women in the family is a violation of international human rights standards and calls on all States to exercise due diligence to prevent, investigate and punish acts of violence against women, whether those acts are perpetrated by the State or by private actors.
فاﻹعلان يؤكد بالتحديد أن العنف ضد المرأة في نطاق اﻷسرة هو انتهاك لمعايير حقوق اﻹنسان الدولية، ويدعو جميع الدول إلى ممارسة العناية الواجبة لمنع أعمال العنف ضد النساء، والتحقيق فيها والمعاقبة عليها سواء أكانت أعمالاً ترتكبها الدولة أو اﻷفراد.

In addition to these legislative innovations and those already mentioned above, there is the pioneering work of the Constitutional Court, which has worked hard to repeal certain provisions which are considered discriminatory while continuing to adapt legislation to the constitutional principles of gender equality and protection of women in the family and in the workplace.
