1 - يؤكد ميثاق الأمم المتحدة والإعلام العالمي لحقوق الإنسان والاتفاقية الدولية للقضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز العنصري واتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة وسائر الصكوك الدولية، على مبادئ المساواة وعدم التمييز.

32. Invites the Council to devote one high-level segment and one operational segment to the advancement of Women and the implementation of the Platform for Action, taking into account the multi-year programme of work of the Commission on the Status of Women and all other functional commissions of the Council and the need for a system-wide approach to the implementation of the Platform for Action;
٣٢ - تدعو المجلس إلى تكريس جزء رفيع المستوى وجزء تشغيلي من أجل النهوض بالمرأة وتنفيذ منهاج العمل، على أن يوضع في الاعتبار برنامج العمل المتعدد السنوات الذي تنفذه لجنة مركز المرأة وسائر اللجان الفنية اﻷخرى التابعة للمجلس والحاجة إلى اتباع نهج على نطاق المنظومة لتنفيذ منهاج العمل؛
