The General Assembly, in its resolution 59/282 of 13 April 2005, increased the annual salary of the members of the Court by 6.3 per cent to $170,080, effective 1 January 2005.

Pending its decision on the report requested, as an interim measure, the Assembly decided to increase the annual salary of the members of the Court and the judges and ad litem judges of the Tribunals by 6.3 per cent, to $170,080, with retroactive effect from 1 January 2005.
وقررت الجمعية العامة، كتدبير مؤقت ريثما تبت في التقرير أن تزيد المرتب السنوي لأعضاء محكمة العدل الدولية والقضاة والقضاة المخصصين في المحكمتين الجنائيتين بمعدل 6.3 في المائة ليصل 080 170 دولار، بأثر رجعي ابتداء من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2005.

Also recalls paragraph 4 of its resolution 59/282, by which it decided to increase the annual salary of the members of the International Court of Justice and the judges and ad litem judges of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda by 6.3 per cent as an interim measure, and further recalls paragraph 8 of the resolution;

Under the circumstances, the Advisory Committee is of the opinion that at this stage the annual salary of members of the Court should be maintained at its current level of $145,000.

With respect to retirement benefits, should the General Assembly make a decision relating to the level of annual salary of the members of the Court and the judges of the Tribunals, it was recommended that pensions in payment should be adjusted accordingly (para. 84).

While agreeing to an increase in the annual salary of members of the Court from $101,750 to $145,000 (i.e. 42.5 per cent growth), the Committee recommended that " there would be no cost-of-living adjustment or supplement as is currently the case.
ومع موافقة اللجنة على زيادة المرتب السنوي ﻷعضاء المحكمة من ٧٥٠ ١٠١ دولارا الى ٠٠٠ ١٤٥ دولار )أي نمو قدره ٥,٢٤ في المائة(، فقد أوصت بأنه " لن ينطوي ذلك على أي تسوية أو علاوة لغلاء المعيشة، كما هو الحال عليه اﻵن.
