The quality of the information depends largely on the quality and comprehensiveness of the information provided through the Standard Financial Annex (SFA) and the Programme and Project Sheet (PPS).

There is a need to clarify the issue of different interpretations of what should be listed under the SFA and the PPS in revised reporting guidelines.

Some Parties underlined that there are different interpretations of what should be listed under the Standard Financial Annex and the Programme and Project Sheet.

For a large part of 2010 the GM has been engaged in supporting the performance review and assessment of implementation system (PRAIS) process primarily through the Standard Financial Annex development and training sessions.

14. The purpose of the Standard Financial Annex is to consolidate information on resources mobilized by affected country Parties and their development partners under the framework of relevant strategies and action programmes.

34. Observatories can seamlessly be tailored to consolidate all the financial information required for national and subregional reporting on UNCCD implementation, and to package it in a format that is compliant with the specifications of the Standard Financial Annex and programme and project sheet.

29. The analytical framework outlined in this section describes the approach that the GM has developed for the analysis of financial flows and trends based on the information collected through the Standard Financial Annex (SFA) and the Programme and Project Sheet (PPS).

Furthermore, the Convention receives detailed information on project/programme financing through dedicated templates - the Standard Financial Annex (SFA) and the project and programme sheet (PPS).

The secretariat and the GM should provide Parties with this indication, in order that the reporting entities can perform the conversion, rather than using the national currency as they do in the SFA.
