Since 2002 the law " On targeted State Social Assistance " (referred to below as the " Law " ) has been in effect.

256. The Republic of Lithuania Law on State Social Assistance Benefits establishes orphan's social assistance pensions.

The support is provided pursuant, in particular, to the State Social Assistance for Families Act and the State Social Assistance for Needy Families Act and through the programme of rental and housing cost subsidies for the purchase of heating fuel and to cover other domestic expenses.
ويُقدّم الدعم بشكل خاص في إطار قانون المساعدة الاجتماعية الحكومية، وقانون المساعدة الاجتماعية الحكومية للأسر المحتاجة، ومن خلال برنامج إعانات الإيجار وتكاليف السكن لشراء وقود التدفئة وتغطية التكاليف المنزلية.

Of the five types of assistance allocated under the Ukrainian State Social Assistance for Families Act, three are allocated on the basis of the family's gross income; this assistance is intended to cover childcare until the child reaches the age of 3 for children of single mothers and children being raised in the families of guardians or foster parents.

State social aid benefits are: parental allowance, foster care benefits, birth allowance, funeral allowance, child allowance, social top-up, housing benefit and the allowance for school equipment.
وتتألف مستحقات المساعدة الاجتماعية الحكومية من: العلاوة الأبوية، ومستحقات الحضانة، ومستحقات الولادة، ومستحقات الدفن، ومستحقات إعالة الطفل، والعلاوة الاجتماعية التكميلية، وبدل السكن، وبدل الأدوات المدرسية.

Since 15 November 2002 this form of assistance has been awarded in accordance with the Poor Families (State Social Assistance) Act.

Through State social benefits (following the completion of the system these will be State Social Assistance benefits), the need for addressing longterm situations of material or social need can be prevented in the social assistance system.

249. The pensions system is supplemented by a system of benefits, compensation payments and guarantees and a programme of housing subsidies and other forms of State Social Assistance for elderly citizens, the disabled and families with children.

253. The new version of the Republic of Lithuania Law on Social Assistance Pensions (currently the Republic of Lithuania Law on State Social Assistance Benefits) entered into force as of 1 April 2004.
253- وقد بدأ نفاذ الصيغة الجديدة لقانون معاشات المساعدة الاجتماعية (واسمه الحالي قانون معاشات المساعدة الاجتماعية الحكومية) في 1 نيسان/أبريل 2004.

Specifically, in 2005 the differentiated levels of the subsistence minimum were increased for families which, for valid reasons beyond their control, were poor within the meaning of the Poor Families (State Social Assistance) Act: for persons able to work, from 80 to 100 hrivnias; for persons unable to work, from 120 to 140 hrivnias; and for persons with disabilities, from 130 to 150 hrivnias.

Foreign nationals who have been registered as living in the Czech Republic for a period of longer than 365 days (apart from asylum-seekers accommodated in a centre run by the Ministry of the Interior) are also considered permanent residents for the purposes of act No. 117/1995 on State social aid.
