The subprogramme will continue to focus on providing assistance to Member States in the planning, development and utilization of human resources and through technical publications supported by seminars, workshops, meetings and conferences organized at the national, subregional and regional levels.
وسيواصل البرنامج الفرعي التركيز على توفير المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء في تخطيط الموارد البشرية وتنميتها واستخدامها من خلال المنشورات التقنية ودعمها بالحلقات الدراسية وحلقات العمل والاجتماعات والمؤتمرات التي تنظم على اﻷصعدة الوطني ودون الاقليمي والاقليمي.

UNIDO had an important role to play in providing assistance to Member States in developing their industrial potential without destroying the national and global environment.
٤٦ - واستطرد قائلا ان اليونيدو لها دور هام تؤديه في تقديم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء في تطوير امكانياتها الصناعية دون تدمير البيئة الوطنية والعالمية .

7. Invites the United Nations International Drug Control Programme to consider ways of providing assistance to Member States which request it in their efforts to establish appropriate mechanisms to collect and analyse data and to seek voluntary resources for this purpose;
٧ - تدعو برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات الى أن ينظر فـــي سبل تقديــم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء التي تطلبها في جهودها ﻹنشاء آليات مناسبة لجمع وتحليل البيانات والتماس الموارد التي تقدم على سبيل التبرع لهذا الغرض؛

٧ - تدعو برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات الى أن ينظر فـــي سبل تقديــم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء التي تطلبها في جهودها ﻹنشاء آليات مناسبة لجمع وتحليل البيانات والتماس الموارد التي تقدم على سبيل التبرع لهذا الغرض؛

In that connection, his delegation hoped that programmes relating to preventive diplomacy, peace-making and assistance to Member States in those fields would be strengthened.
وأعرب في هذا الصدد عن أمل وفد بلده في تعزيز البرامــج )السيد تومو مونتي، الكاميرون( المتعلقة بالدبلوماسية الوقائية وبإحلال السلم وبتقديم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء في هذه الميادين.

10. Requests the Secretary-General to continue to promote the use and application of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice, inter alia, by providing advisory services and technical cooperation, when requested by Member States, providing assistance to Member States in criminal justice and law reform and organizing seminars for training law enforcement and criminal justice personnel;
١٠ - يطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل ترويج استخدام وتطبيق معايير اﻷمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، بوسائل منها توفير الخدمات الاستشارية والتعاون التقني، عندما تطلب الدول اﻷعضاء ذلك، وتقديم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء في مجال إصلاح نظام العدالة الجنائية والقانون الجنائي، وتنظيم حلقات دراسية لتدريب موظفي إنفاذ القوانين والعدالة الجنائية؛

The European Union - which has been extremely active in funding mine-clearance operations in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Iraq and elsewhere - is seeking to increase the impact of its efforts to provide assistance in mine clearance. The Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the League of Arab States (LAS) are also exploring ways in which they can extend assistance to Member States affected by land-mines.
كما أن الاتحاد اﻷوروبي، الذي شارك بهمة بالغة في تمويل عمليات إزالة اﻷلغام في أفغانستان والعراق وكمبوديا وبلدان أخرى. يسعى الى زيادة أثر جهوده لتوفير المساعدة في مجال إزالة اﻷلغام وتعكف أيضا، رابطة أمم جنوب شرق آسيا وجامعة الدول العربية على استكشاف السبل التي يمكنها بها تقديم المساعدة الى الدول اﻷعضاء المتضررة من اﻷلغام البرية.

There was also the need to assist Member States to prepare regional common positions on the issues coming before the various global conferences.
