6. Also requests the Executive Director to report to the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session on the activities, staffing and financing of the regional representations of the Centre.
٦ - تطلب كذلك إلى المدير التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة تقريرا عن أنشطة مكاتب التمثيل اﻹقليمي للمركز ومستوى تزويدها بالموظفين وتمويلها.

21. With overall endorsement of its revitalization process by the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session, the Centre was now fully reorganized for implementation of the Habitat Agenda.
٢١ - ومضى قائلا إن المركز يعتبر قد أعيد تنظيمه بالكامل من أجل تنفيذ جدول أعمال الموئل، وذلك بعد التأييد الشامل وعملية إعادة تنشيطه التي قامت بها لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة.

3. Requests the Executive Director to report on the implementation of the present resolution in his progress report to the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session.

3. Also requests the Executive Director to report to the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session on the implementation of the present resolution.

Recalling the memorandum of understanding between the Youth for Habitat International Network and the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat), signed in May 1998, and resolution 17/19 on partnership with youth adopted by the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session, in May 1999,
وإذ تشير إلى مذكرة التفاهم المبرمة بين الشبكة الدولية للشباب من أجل الموئل ومركز الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية (الموئل)، والموقعة في أيار/مايو 1998()، وإلى القرار 17/19 بشأن الشراكة مع الشباب الذي اعتمدته لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة في أيار/مايو 1999،

5. Invites States to provide to the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session information on progress achieved in the implementation of the provisions of the right to adequate housing as set forth in the Habitat Agenda, particularly paragraph 61, within their countries;
٥ - تدعو الدول إلى تزويد لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة بمعلومات عن التقدم المحرز في تنفيذ الأحكام المتعلقة بالحق في السكن الملائم فيها على النحو المحدد في جدول أعمال الموئل، ولا سيما الفقرة ٦١؛

One requirement set by the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session for the extension of Ombudsman services to that entity was that the Commission at its eighteenth session review the financial implications of such a move.
42 - وأحد الشروط التي وضعتها لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة لتوسيع خدمات وحدة أمين المظالم لتلك المنظمة هو ، أن تستعرض اللجنة في دورتها الثامنة عشرة الآثار المالية لمثل هذا الإجراء .

The main mandate is provided by the Global Plan of Action of the Habitat Agenda and by relevant resolutions of the General Assembly (most recently resolutions 53/242 and 54/209) and of the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session.
أما الولاية الرئيسية فهي واردة في خطة العمل العالمية لجدول أعمال الموئل وقرارات الجمعية العامة ذات الصلة (آخرها القراران 53/242 و 54/209) وقرارات لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة.

36. In pursuance of the above, the General Assembly may wish to invite the Economic and Social Council to hold the high-level segment proposed in paragraph 13 of resolution 51/177 in the year 1999 to address the issues identified by the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session (see para. 34 (c) above).
٣٦ - ووفقا لما ورد أعلاه، قد ترغب الجمعية العامة في دعوة المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي إلى الجزء الرفيع المستوى من اجتماعاته الذي اقترح في الفقرة ١٣ من القرار ٥١/١٧٧ في عام ١٩٩٩ من أجل معالجة المسائل التي حددتها لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة )انظر الفقرة ٣٤ )ج( أعلاه(.

37. The regionalization policy, presented to the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session by the Acting Executive Director, envisaged that as part of the ongoing reorganization, the regional offices would become fully integrated into the work of the Centre and act as regional focal points for the global campaigns, as well as sources of high-quality inputs to the work of headquarters.
37 - وتنص سياسة الأقلمة التي عرضها المدير التنفيذي بالنيابة على لجنة المستوطنات البشرية في دورتها السابعة عشرة على إشراك المكاتب الإقليمية إشراكا كاملا في أعمال المركز، في إطار إعادة التنظيم الجارية، وتعمل بوصفها جهات تنسيق إقليمية للحملتين العالميتين فضلا عن كونها مصدرا لإسهامات جيدة في أعمال المقر.

11. At the 46th meeting, on 3 December, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Alexandru Niculescu (Romania), informed the Committee on the outcome of the informal consultations held on a draft resolution entitled “Follow-up to the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II)”, which was recommended by the Commission on Human Settlements at its seventeenth session for adoption by the General Assembly.
