A case in point is the status of implementation of General Assembly resolution 55/247 of 12 April 2001, on procurement reform, in which the Assembly stressed the need for adequate training of all personnel involved in the procurement process at Headquarters and in the field, and requested the Secretary-General to ensure proper training for improving the skills of personnel involved in the procurement process.
