The progress made in the sphere of nuclear security should be seen in the overall framework of the initiative undertaken by the Director General of the IAEA in convening a ministerial-level conference in June 2011 and in the high-level meeting on Nuclear Safety and Security convened by the Secretary-General here at United Nations Headquarters in September, as well as other significant initiatives undertaken by the international community.
وينبغي النظر إلى التقدم المحرز في مجال الأمن النووي في الإطار العام للمبادرة التي اتخذها المدير العام للوكالة بالدعوة إلى عقد مؤتمر في حزيران/يونيه 2011 وفي عقد الأمين العام الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى المعني بالسلامة والأمن النوويين في المقر في أيلول/سبتمبر، بالإضافة إلى المبادرات الهامة الأخرى التي اتخذها المجتمع الدولي.
