1. The Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Organ on Politics, Defence and Security took place at Luanda on 2 October 1996.
١ - عُقد مؤتمر القمة للجهاز المعني بالسياسة والدفاع واﻷمن التابع للجماعة اﻹنمائية للجنوب اﻷفريقي في لواندا في ٢ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٦.

The SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security was established primarily because the region recognized that no socio-economic development could be achieved without the achievement of peace, security and political stability.
وقد أنشئ الجهاز المعني بالسياسة والدفاع والأمن التابع للجماعة، بصفة أساسية، لأن المنطقة أدركت أنه لا يمكن تحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية بدون تحقيق السلام، والأمن، والاستقرار السياسي.

Tanzania, as Chair of the Southern African Development Community Organ on Politics, Defence and Security, will play its role in support of this process.
