In that regard, Brazil endorsed the statements made by the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the need to protect the right to privacy in the context of the new information and communications technology.

376. The Committee sent letters to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the High Commissioner for Human Rights on the question of treaty body reform (see annex IV to part one of the report; see also decision 34/1 above).

His delegation welcomed the draft resolution and encouraged the Committee to continue to improve its working methods in consultation with States parties and in light of past experience and to consider the recommendations contained in the report of the High Commissioner on Human Rights on strengthening the United Nations human rights treaty body system.
وأعرب عن ترحيب وفده بمشروع القرار، كما أعرب عن تشجيع وفده للّجنة على مواصلة تحسين أساليب عملها بالتشاور مع الدول الأطراف وعلى ضوء التجارب السابقة، وعلى النظر في التوصيات الواردة في تقرير المفوضة السامية لحقوق الإنسان بشأن تعزيز نظام الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات حقوق الإنسان.
