وإذ تحيط علماً بتقارير السيد لياندرو ديسبوي، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات ومنشور مكتب مفوضة اﻷمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق اﻹنسان المعنون حقوق اﻹنسان والمعوقون والذي يُقترح فيه إنشاء آليات دولية من قبيل أمين المظالم بهدف تعزيز وحماية حقوق اﻹنسان للمعوقين،

1. Takes note with appreciation of the final report of the Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, Mr. Asbjørn Eide, on possible ways and means of facilitating the peaceful and constructive solution of problems involving minorities;
١ ـ تحيط علما مع التقدير بالتقرير النهائي المقدم من السيد أسبيورن إيدي، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بشأن السبل والوسائل الممكنة لتسهيل الحل السلمي والبناء للمشاكل التي تمس اﻷقليات؛

Reiterating its appreciation of the study on the subject prepared by the Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, Mr. Theo van Boven, contained in his final report (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/8),
وإذ تكرر تقديرها للدراسة المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع التي أعدها المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، السيد ثيو فان بوفن، والواردة في تقريره الختامي )E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/8(،

Assists Special Rapporteur of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities in the preparation of their reports/studies.

It should also keep track of the relevant reports of the Special Rapporteur of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities on the monitoring of the dismantling of apartheid and the transition to democracy in South Africa.

Takes note with appreciation of the analysis and recommendations formulated in the final report of the Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, Mr. Asbjørn Eide, on possible ways and means of facilitating the peaceful and constructive solution of problems involving minorities;
١- تحيط علما مع التقدير بالتحليل والتوصيات التي صيغت في التقرير النهائي المقدم من السيد أسبيورن إيدي، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، بشأن السبل والوسائل الممكنة لتسهيل الحل السلمي والبناء للمشاكل التي تنطوي على أقليات؛

12. Reaffirms the importance of ensuring the study of specific economic, social and cultural rights, and in this framework recognizes the interest of the progress report on the right to adequate housing, submitted by Mr. Rajindar Sachar, Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, to the Sub-Commission at its forty-fifth session (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/15);
٢١ ـ تؤكد من جديد أهمية ضمان دراسة حقوق اقتصادية واجتماعية وثقافية محددة، وتسلم في هذا الاطار بأهمية التقرير المرحلي عن الحق في سكن ملائم الذي قدمه السيد راجيندار ساشار، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات (E/CN.4/Sub.2/l993/l5) إلى اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين؛

Noting also the Centre for Human Rights publication Human Rights and Disabled Persons (United Nations publication, Sales No. E.92.XIV.4) by Mr. Leandro Despouy, Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, in which the establishment of a mechanism such as an international ombudsman is proposed;
وإذ تلاحظ أيضا نشرة مركز حقوق اﻹنسان المعنونة " حقوق اﻹنسان والمعوقون " )منشورات اﻷمم المتحدة، رقم المبيع A.92.XIV.4( التي أعدها السيد لياندرو ديسبوي، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، والتي يقترح فيها إنشاء آلية من قبيل أمين مظالم دولي،

واذ ترحب في هذا الصدد بالدراسة المتعلقة بهذا الموضوع التي أعدها المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات السيد ثيوفان بوفن والواردة في تقريره الختامي )E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/8( ،

1. Welcomes the final report on the independence of the judiciary and the protection of practising lawyers (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/25 and Add.1), prepared by Mr. Louis Joinet, Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities;
١- تثني مع التقدير على التقرير النهائي المتعلق باستقلال السلطة القضائية وحماية المحامين في ممارستهم مهنتهم )E/CN.4/Sub.2/1993/25 وAdd.1(، الذي أعده السيد لويس جوانيه، المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات؛

Welcomes the preliminary report on the relationship between the enjoyment of human rights, in particular economic, social and cultural rights, and income distribution, prepared by the Special Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, Mr. José Bengoa (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/14);
٥١- ترحب بالتقرير اﻷولي عن العلاقة بين التمتع بحقوق اﻹنسان، ولا سيما بالحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية، وتوزيع الدخل، الذي أعده المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات، السيد خوسيه بنغووا (E/CN.4/Sub.2/1995/14)؛

The Special Rapporteur of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities addressed women and sexual violence in situations of armed conflict.
وتناول المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات مسائل متعلقة بالمرأة والعنف الجنسي في حالات النزاع المسلح.

472. The Committee also took note of the letter addressed to it by the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights concerning the mandate of the Special Rapporteur of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities on human rights and the environment.
٤٧٢ - كما أحاطت اللجنة علما بالرسالة الموجهة اليها من اﻷمين العام المساعد لشؤون حقوق اﻹنسان بشأن ولاية المقرر الخاص للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات المعني بحقوق اﻹنسان والبيئة.
