9- ويقدّم هذا التقرير عرضا موجزا للعمل الذي اضطلع به المكتب المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة في مجال التحليل الجنائي، ولا سيما في مجال التعاون الدولي.

The Panel also welcomes the efforts made by UNODC in Liberia to support the Government of Liberia in addressing those risk factors by strengthening and building the institutional capacity of the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Transnational Crime Unit.

27- وأسهمت منظمة العفو الدولية ببيانٍ عن " دور معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في النضال من أجل إعمال حقوق الإنسان " في اجتماع فريق الخبراء المعني بتطبيق معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، الذي نظمه المكتب المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة في شباط/فبراير 2003.

The reporting period saw a strong increase in the UNODC technical assistance portfolio in the area of judicial integrity and criminal justice reform.
