It was further said that the mandate of UNCITRAL was to further the harmonization of international trade law, and under that mandate, UNCITRAL should aim at establishing a unified legal framework for the fair and efficient settlement of disputes arising in international commercial arbitration.
وقيل كذلك إنَّ ولاية الأونسيترال() ترمي إلى المضي قدما في مواءمة القانون التجاري الدولي، وإنه ينبغي لها بموجب هذه الولاية أن تستهدف إرساء إطار قانوني موحَّد لتسوية المنازعات الناشئة في إطار التحكيم التجاري الدولي على نحو منصف وناجع.

The Rules were specifically drafted for use in commercial arbitration. To this end, in the Resolution recommending the use of the Rules, the General Assembly recognized the `value of arbitration as a method of settling disputes arising in the context of international commercial relations' (emphasis added).
