Regarding the Iranian nuclear issue, the Sultanate of Oman encourages all parties to recognize the need to pursue negotiations and dialogue so as to find a peaceful solution that safeguards security and stability in that important region, guarantees Iran's right to benefit from the use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, and dispels the international community's fears.
وفيما يتعلق بالملف النووي الإيراني، فإن سلطنة عمان تحث جميع الأطراف بضرورة مواصلة المفاوضات والحوار لإيجاد مخرج سلمي يحفظ الأمن والاستقرار في هذه المنطقة الهامة من العالم، ويحفظ لإيران حقها في الاستفادة من التكنولوجيا النووية للأغراض السلمية، ويبدد مخاوف المجتمع الدولي.

" Finally, we find it necessary to remind the international community that a just and lasting solution to the question of Palestine can only be achieved when a viable independent Palestinian State, with East Jerusalem as its capital, is established. That is a fundamental condition for peace, security and stability in this important region of the world.
" وختاما، نجد أنه من الضروري أن نذكر المجتمع الدولي بأن حل قضية فلسطين حلا عادلا ودائما لقيام الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة القابلة للحياة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، شرط أساسي لاستتباب الأمن والسلام والاستقرار في هذه المنطقة الهامة من العالم.

We hail the agreement clinched last year between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the rapprochement between Israel and Jordan symbolized by the signing of the Washington Declaration to bring to an end the state of war between the two countries, and we urge that no stone be left unturned in the quest for a comprehensive solution to the problems of that very important area of the world.
ونحن نرحب بالاتفاق الذي تم في السنة الماضية بين اسرائيل ومنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، وبالتقارب الحاصل بين إسرائيل واﻷردن، والمتمثل في التوقيع على إعلان واشنطن الرامي إلى وضع حد لحالة الحرب القائمة بين البلدين، ونحث على عدم ادخار أي جهد في السعي إلى إيجاد حل شامل للمشاكل القائمة في تلك المنطقة الهامة جدا من العالم.
