(a) Are the objectives pursued by operational activities for development and the United Nations system at the country level coherent and consistent with international goals, such as the millennium development goals and national priorities, and are those activities effective?
(أ) هل الأهداف التي تسعى إلى تحقيقها الأنشطة التنفيذية من أجل التنمية وتتوخاها المنظومة على الصعيد القطري أهداف مترابطة ومتسقة مع الأهداف الدولية مثل الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية ومع الأولويات الوطنية؟ وهل هذه الأنشطة فعالة؟

35. The third objective of subprogramme 28.1 is to promote and strengthen coherence and restructuring within the United Nations system in the area of operational activities for development, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness, coherence and coordination of operational activities of the system at the country level and to encourage integration with national efforts at the request of the recipient Governments (para. 28.6 (d)).

16. The Board fully endorsed the establishment of an evaluation process of the pilot projects, noting at the same time that lessons to be drawn might not be applicable to all the system's country-level work.
