The Committee expects that the Secretary-General will take action in a timely manner to update the relevant organizational, administrative and management arrangements indicated above, which are necessary for the implementation of any further decisions that the Assembly may take in future regarding the proposed revised ICT strategy.

The Secretary-General should also be requested to provide information on the impact of the implementation of the proposed revised ICT strategy on the operations of the Organization and any expected improvements to programme delivery.

57. The Advisory Committee emphasizes the importance of ensuring that the implementation of the proposed revised ICT strategy allows increased transparency with regard to ICT capacities and resources and the cost of ICT services across the Secretariat.
57 - وتشدد اللجنة الاستشارية على أهمية أن يتيح تطبيق الاستراتيجية المنقحة المقترحة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات زيادة الشفافية فيما يتعلق بقدرات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات ومواردها وتكلفة خدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات على نطاق الأمانة العامة.

20. The Advisory Committee is of the view that the proposed revised ICT strategy constitutes a good basis for the future development of ICT at the United Nations and supports the overall direction of the proposed strategy.
٢٠ - ترى اللجنة الاستشارية أن الاستراتيجية المنقحة المقترحة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات تشكل أساسا جيدا لتطوير تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في الأمم المتحدة مستقبلا، وهي تؤيد الاتجاه العام للاستراتيجية المقترحة.

22. Furthermore, the Advisory Committee is of the view that, while the proposed revised ICT strategy sets out a set of goals for the future state of ICT and a high-level plan for transforming ICT delivery at the United Nations over the next five years, a more detailed analysis should be carried out.
٢٢ - وعلاوة على ذلك، ترى اللجنة الاستشارية أنه رغم تحديد الاستراتيجية المنقحة المقترحة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لمجموعةً من الأهداف المتعلقة بالحالة المستقبلية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات وخطةً رفيعة المستوى لإحداث التحوّل في أسلوب تقديم خدمات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في الأمم المتحدة خلال السنوات الخمس القادمة، فإنه ينبغي إجراء تحليل أكثر تفصيلا.

13. The Secretary-General indicates that the key objectives of the proposed revised ICT strategy for the United Nations are to: (a) set the direction of ICT in support of organizational priorities; (b) harmonize existing infrastructure and processes; and (c) place greater emphasis on innovation to support the substantive work of the United Nations.
13 - يشير الأمين العام إلى أن الأهداف الرئيسية للاستراتيجية المنقحة المقترحة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات للأمم المتحدة هي: (أ) تحديد الاتجاه الذي تسير فيه تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات دعماً للأولويات التنظيمية؛ و (ب) تحقيق الانسجام بين الهياكل الأساسية والعمليات الحالية؛ و (ج) تشديد التركيز على الابتكار لدعم الأعمال الأساسية للأمم المتحدة.
