Workshop participants recognize a request mentioned in General Assembly resolution 61/89, " Towards an arms trade treaty: establishing common international standards for the import, export and transfer of conventional arms " , that the Secretary-General seek the views of Member States and that his report on the subject be submitted to the General Assembly at its sixty-second session.
