Security and military forces regularly engage in the cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of persons who have been arrested and detained in military barracks and gendarmerie, police and security forces facilities.

10- مع أن اللجنة تحيط علماً بالمعلومات التي قدّمتها الدولة الطرف، فإن القلق يساورها إزاء الغموض الذي يكتنف مسألة ما إذا كان يتاح للأشخاص الموقوفين والمحتجزين احتياطياً عرض أنفسهم في بداية احتجازهم على طبيبٍ، من اختيارهم إذا أمكن، وما إذا كان يُحترم حقُّهم في حرمة الحياة الخاصة.

65. Concerning torture in arrest and detention centres, recommendations had been made based on those of the Sub-Committee on the Prevention of Torture, in order to guarantee the rights of persons arrested and detained and in order to monitor and prevent any violations.
