UNODC assistance supports the implementation of the relevant provisions of the Organized Crime Convention, encouraging best practices to counter organized criminal activity and addressing joint investigations (art. 19), special investigative techniques (art. 20), international cooperation (arts. 26 and 27), protection of witnesses (art. 24) and prevention of organized crime (art. 31).
