The Division has organized a number of meetings between Committee delegations and representatives of civil society organizations, in particular with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the Egyptian Red Crescent Society in 2009.

At the initiative of Suzanne Mubarak, the First Lady of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in her capacity as President of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, a meeting of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society with the United Nations specialized agencies, funds and programmes was held on 10 January 2009, in Cairo.

وكما أعلمتكم، فقد دعوت بصفتي رئيسة جمعية الهلال الأحمر المصرية إلى عقد اجتماع عاجل في 10 كانون الثاني/يناير 2009 مع وكالات الأمم المتحدة المعنية، لمعالجة مختلف جوانب الأزمة الإنسانية التي يواجهها الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة وتعزيز عملية التنسيق من أجل تيسير إيصال الأغذية والمساعدات الطبية بشكل فوري وفعلي ومستمر.
