1. The General Assembly of the United Nations, at its thirty-fourth session, on 20 December 1979, took a decision with respect to compensation for members of commissions, committees or similar bodies in the event of death, injury or illness attributable to service with the United Nations.
1 - اتخذت الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الرابعة والثلاثين، في 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1979، مقررا يتعلق بتعويض أعضاء اللجان بأنواعها أو الهيئات المماثلة في حالات الوفاة أو الإصابة أو المرض المعزوة إلى الخدمة بالأمم المتحدة.

3. The General Assembly, in its resolution 34/233 of 20 December 1979, authorized the Secretary-General to promulgate rules governing compensation to members of commissions, committees or similar bodies in the event of death, injury or illness attributable to service with the United Nations.1 The General Assembly further decided that:
