163. To provide adequate guarantees for the exercise of the prerogative to declare a state of emergency, the Constitution requires that the declaration of a state of emergency should be submitted to the National Legislature within 15 days of the issuance of the declaration.
163- توفيراً للضمانات الكافية للممارسة الرشيدة لذلك الحق في إعلان حالة الطوارئ، أوجب الدستور عرض إعلان حالة الطوارئ على الهيئة التشريعية القومية خلال خمسة عشر يوماً من صدوره لتتخذ قراراً بشأنه.

(a) Lapse of 30 days as from the date of issuance of the declaration if the National Legislature does not approve, by a resolution, the extension of its duration;
