II. CONTEXT The United Nations General Assembly resolution 62/208 on the triennial comprehensive policy review of operational activities for development of the United Nations system (TCPR) underscores that the provision of development assistance by the United Nations system should respond to the diverse needs of developing countries and be in accordance with their national development plans and strategies.
