9. Upon enquiry, the Advisory Committee was informed that for the period from May to December 2014, a vacancy rate of zero per cent had been applied to all additional international and national positions, which measure assumed that all those positions would be filled as of 1 May 2014.

16. The Advisory Committee recommends acceptance of the proposals by the Secretary-General regarding the establishment, conversion, abolition and redeployment of the international and national posts listed in annex II of the present report.

Upon enquiry, the Advisory Committee was informed that the projected 2012/13 vacancy factors for international and national posts take into account the fact that the proposed new international and national posts are budgeted for only six months.
