The Seminar provided a framework for an exchange of views on various aspects of assistance to the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem and for sharing the experience gained by different sectors of the international community in their efforts in this respect.
وقد شكلت تلك الحلقة الدراسية إطارا لتبادل اﻵراء بشأن مسألة تقديم المساعدة الى الشعب الفلسطيني في اﻷراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة من شتى جوانبها، ولتقاسم الخبرات المكتسبة من مختلف عمليات المعونة الدولية.

This requires that the international community extend support to the Palestinian people in the economic and material spheres and all other fields until they launch the process of reconstructing their national economy and rebuilding their infrastructure.
وهذا يتطلب من المجتمع الدولي أن يقدم دعمه الى الشعب الفلسطيني في المجالات الاقتصادية والمادية وجميع الميادين اﻷخرى الى أن يبدأ عملية إعادة بناء اقتصاده الوطني وبنيته اﻷساسية.

In this context, we are gratified by the recent appointment of the United Nations Special Coordinator to provide overall guidance and facilitate effective coordination of international assistance to the Palestinian people in meeting both their immediate and long-term needs.

His delegation welcomed the seminars organized by the Department of Public Information for developing countries, such as that to be held in Sana'a in the near future on the development and promotion of pluralist media in Arab countries, or the one organized on assistance to the Palestinian people in the information field.
ويرحب الوفد التونسي بتنظيم إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام لحلقات دراسية من أجل البلدان النامية، مثل تلك التي ستعقد في المستقبل القريب في صنعاء حول التنمية والنهوض بوسائط اﻹعلام الشعبية في البلدان العربية أو تلك التي نظمتها بشأن تقديم المساعدة الى الشعب الفلسطيني في مجال اﻹعلام.

The Committee also noted the great concern about the human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, and the sense of urgency with which the international community had addressed the need to provide assistance to the Palestinian people in the difficult transition period ahead.
ولاحظت اللجنة أيضا القلق الشديد إزاء حالة حقوق الانسان في اﻷرض الفلسطينية المحتلة والشعور باﻹلحاح الذي عالج به المجتمع الدولي الحاجة الى تقديم المساعدة الى الشعب الفلسطيني في المرحلة الانتقالية الصعبة التي تنتظره.
