44. In paragraph 42 of its resolution 53/59 of 3 December 1998, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its twenty-first session on the activities of the Department of Public Information.
٤٤ - لقد طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام، في الفقرة ٤٢ من قرارها ٥٣/٥٩ المؤرخ ٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٨، أن يقدم تقريرا الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الحادية والعشرين عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام.

2. Seven reports were submitted to the Committee on Information at its twenty-first session, held from 3 to 14 May 1999, entitled:
٢ - وقد قدمت سبعة تقارير الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الحادية والعشرين المعقودة في الفترة من ٣ الى ١٤ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٩، وهي:

1. The General Assembly, in paragraph 15 of its resolution 51/138 B of 13 December 1996, called upon the Secretary-General to submit a report to the Committee on Information on an evaluation of the United Nations information centres.
١ - دعت الجمعية العامة في الفقرة ١٥ من قرارها ٥١/١٣٨ باء المؤرخ ١٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٦، اﻷمين العام الى تقديم تقرير الى لجنة اﻹعلام عن تقييم مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام.

16. Takes note of the action being taken by the Secretary-General regarding the reactivation of the United Nations information centre in Tehran and calls upon the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its seventeenth substantive session on the full reactivation of that information centre;
١٦ - تحيط علما باﻹجراءات التي يتخذها اﻷمين العام حاليا فيما يتعلق بإعادة تنشيط مركز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام في طهران وتدعو اﻷمين العام الى تقديم تقرير الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الموضوعية السابعة عشرة عن إعادة تنشيط مركز اﻹعلام المذكور على نحو كامل؛

1. In its resolution 48/44 B of 10 December 1993, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to it at its forty-ninth session and to the Committee on Information at its sixteenth session on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the resolution.
١ - في قرارها ٤٨/٤٤ باء المؤرخ ١٠ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣، طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا اليها في دورتها التاسعة واﻷربعين وكذلك الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها السادسة عشرة عن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في القرار المذكور.

2. The following reports of the Secretary-General related to topics covered by the resolution were submitted to the Committee on Information at its sixteenth session, held from 9 to 24 May 1994:
٢ - وقد قدمت تقارير اﻷمين العام التالية المتصلة بالمواضيع التي يغطيها القرار الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها السادسة عشرة المعقودة من ٩ الى ٢٤ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٤:

3. The Assistant Secretary-General for Public Information provided supplementary information in two statements delivered to the Committee on Information at its sixteenth session.
٣ - وقد قدم اﻷمين العام المساعد لشؤون اﻹعلام معلومات تكميلية في بيانين أدلى بهما الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها السادسة عشرة.

25. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its eighteenth session and to the General Assembly at its fifty-first session on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the present resolution;
٥٢ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الثامنة عشرة وإلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الحادية والخمسين عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام وعن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في هذا القرار؛

24. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its seventeenth session and to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the present resolution;
٢٤ - تطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها السابعة عشرة، والى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخمسين عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام وعن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في هذا القرار؛

25. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its eighteenth session, in 1996, and to the General Assembly at its fifty-first session, in 1996, on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the present resolution;
٢٥ - تطلب إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الثامنة عشرة في عام ١٩٩٦، وإلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الحادية والخمسين في عام ١٩٩٦ عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام وعن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في هذا القرار؛

16. Notes the action being taken by the Secretary-General regarding the reactivation of the United Nations information centre at Tehran, and calls upon the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its seventeenth session on the full reactivation of that information centre;
١٦ - تلاحظ اﻹجراءات التي يتخذها اﻷمين العام حاليا فيما يتعلق بإعادة تنشيط مركز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام في طهران وتطلب إلى اﻷمين العام الى تقديم تقرير الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها السابعة عشرة عن إعادة تنشيط مركز اﻹعلام المذكور على نحو كامل؛

1. In its resolution 53/59 B of 3 December 1998, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its twenty-first session, in 1999, and to the General Assembly at its fifty-fourth session, in 1999, on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained therein.
١ - طلبت الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام في قرارها ٥٣/٥٩ باء المؤرخ ٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٨ أن يقدم الى لجنة اﻹعلام في دورتها الحادية والعشرين، في ١٩٩٩، والى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين، في ١٩٩٩، تقريرا عن أنشطة إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام وعن تنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في القرار.

24. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Committee on Information at its seventeenth session in 1995 and to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session in 1995, on the activities of the Department of Public Information and on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the present resolution;
