Today, on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, we remind States that they have an obligation to protect such individuals and to ensure that they do not face reprisals or intimidation for cooperating with United Nations bodies.
واليوم، وبمناسبة اليوم الدولي لمساندة ضحايا التعذيب، نذكّر الدول بأن عليها التزاماً بحماية مثل هؤلاء الأفراد، وضمان عدم تعرضهم للعمليات الانتقامية أو الترهيب لتعاونهم مع هيئات الأمم المتحدة.

خامسا - اليوم الدولي لمساندة ضحايا التعذيب

On this International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, we express our solidarity with, and support for, the hundreds of thousands of victims of torture and their family members throughout the world who endure such suffering.
ونعرب، في هذا اليوم الدولي لمساندة ضحايا التعذيب، عن تضامننا مع مئات الآلاف من ضحايا التعذيب ودعمنا لهم ولأفراد أسرهم الموجودين في جميع أرجاء العالم والذين يتحملون هذه المعاناة.

UNIC Bujumbura arranged the publication in a daily newspaper of the Secretary-General's message on the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
ورتَّب مركز الأمم المتحدة للإعلام في بوجومبورا لنشر رسالة الأمين العام التي وجَّهها في اليوم الدولي لمساندة ضحايا التعذيب في إحدى الصحف اليومية.
