51. In its resolution 58/4, the General Assembly, in order to raise awareness of corruption and of the role of the United Nations Convention against Corruption in combating and preventing it, decided that 9 December should be designated International Anti-Corruption Day.
51- في القرار 58/4، قرّرت الجمعية العامة أن يكون 9 كانون الأول/ديسمبر اليوم الدولي لمكافحة الفساد وذلك لإذكاء الوعي بالفساد وبدور اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد في محاربته ومنعه.

On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2008, UNODC and its partners organized a campaign to raise awareness of corruption and its negative impact on individuals and society and to promote the Convention against Corruption.
88- وبمناسبة اليوم الدولي لمكافحة الفساد في 9 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2008، نظّم المكتب وشركاؤه حملة لإذكاء الوعي بالفساد وتأثيره الضار بالأفراد والمجتمع وللترويج لاتفاقية مكافحة الفساد.

With a view to consolidating expertise in anti-corruption efforts and criminal justice, UNODC and UNDP have continued to develop joint programmes, including the joint criminal justice programme in Mauritius and joint advocacy and awareness-raising for International Anti-Corruption Day.

Finally, IGAC members agreed to cooperate on the development and implementation of awareness-raising campaigns on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day on 9 December 2007, and the organization of side events to be held during the second session of the Conference of the States Parties, with a view to further bringing to bear the views, proposals and other input of various stakeholders.
