4. Calls upon all Mozambican parties to stand by their obligation to accept and fully abide by the results of the elections;
٤ - يدعو اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية الى الوفاء بالتزامها بقبول نتائج الانتخابات والتقيد التام بها؛

With the concurrence of the Mozambican parties, United Nations police observers would assist the electoral observers of ONUMOZ in monitoring the registration process and the electoral campaign.
وسوف يقوم مراقبو الشرطة التابعون لﻷمم المتحدة بمساعدة مراقبي الانتخابات التابعين لعملية اﻷمم المتحدة في موزامبيق في رصد عملية التسجيل والحملة الانتخابية وذلك بموافقة اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية.

2. Reiterates its intention to endorse the results of the elections should the United Nations declare them free and fair and calls upon all Mozambican parties to accept and fully abide by the results of the elections;
٢ - يكرر تأكيد اعتزامه تأييد نتائج الانتخابات اذا أعلنت اﻷمم المتحدة أنها كانت حرة وعادلة، ويطلب من جميع اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية أن تقبل، وتتقيد تماما، بنتائج هذه الانتخابات؛

5. Also calls upon all Mozambican parties to continue the process of national reconciliation based, as provided for in the General Peace Agreement, on a system of multi-party democracy and the observance of democratic principles which will ensure lasting peace and political stability;
٥ - يدعو أيضا جميع اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية الى مواصلة عملية المصالحة الوطنية على أساس اقامة نظام ديمقراطي متعدد اﻷحزاب واحترام المبادئ الديمقراطية التي ستكفل السلم الدائم والاستقرار السياسي، على نحو ما هو منصوص عليه في اتفاق السلم العام؛

Although the general peace agreement did not envisage any role for the United Nations in this aspect of the peace process, the Mozambican parties requested the United Nations to assume chairmanship of the Joint Commission in order to facilitate its functioning; however, the United Nations is not responsible for training or for providing equipment to the new Defence Force.
وعلى الرغم من أن اتفاق السلم العام لم ينص على أي دور لﻷمم المتحدةفي هذا الجانب من عملية السلم، فقد طلبت اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية من اﻷمم المتحدة أن تضطلع برئاسة اللجنة المشتركة لتيسير أدائها؛ ولكن اﻷمم المتحدة ليست مسؤولة عن تدريب قوات الدفاع الجديدة أو تزويدها بالمعدات.

7. Calls upon the Mozambican parties to support the electoral process including the work of the National Elections Commission, as described in paragraph 51 of the Secretary-General's report;
٧ - يطلب من اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية تأييد العملية الانتخابية بما في ذلك أعمال لجنة الانتخابات الوطنية، على النحو المبين في الفقرة ٥١ من تقرير اﻷمين العام؛

52. Mr. DAMICO (Brazil) reaffirmed the importance of the role played by ONUMOZ in the application of the peace-keeping agreements concluded between the Mozambican parties.
٥٢ - السيد داميكو )البرازيل(، أعاد تأكيد أهمية الدور الذي تؤديه عملية اﻷمم المتحدة في موزامبيق في إطار تنفيذ اتفاقات السلم المبرمة بين اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية.

" The Council expresses its intention to endorse the results of the elections provided the United Nations reports them as free and fair and reminds all the Mozambican parties of their obligation under the general peace agreement fully to respect the results.
" ويعــرب المجلس عــن اعتزامــه تأييـد نتائـج الانتخابات شريطة أن تشهد تقارير اﻷمم المتحدة بأنها حرة ونزيهة، ويذكﱢر جميع اﻷطراف الموزامبيقية بالتزامهـا بموجـب اتفاق السلم العام بأن تحترم النتائج احتراما كاملا.
