The setting up of the United Nations International Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) in 1990, with the exclusive responsibility to coordinate all United Nations drug control activities, promote the implementation of international conventions on the subject and provide effective leadership in international drug control, is a vivid example of putting one's beliefs into practice.
