For instance, NGOs are actively involved in the United Nations Disarmament Information Programme, which was launched at the first meeting of the second special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament in 1982.
وعلى سبيل المثال فالمنظمات الحكومية تعمل بنشاط في برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للمعلومات في مجال نزع السلاح الذي انبثق عن أول اجتماع للدورة الاستثنائية الثانية للجمعية العامة المكرسة لنزع السلاح في عام ١٩٨٢.

The name of the World Disarmament Campaign was changed to " United Nations Disarmament Information Programme " to reflect its actual work and the consensus support it had gained.

13. The Board heard with interest a presentation of the United Nations Disarmament Information Programme (formerly the World Disarmament Campaign) and the activities that had been undertaken within its framework since the Board's previous session.

Therefore, the title " World Disarmament Campaign " has been changed in the text of this fascicle to " United Nations Disarmament Information Programme " .

3B.49 It is estimated that $243,600 would be required for external printing in connection with the publications programme of the Office for Disarmament Affairs as outlined under subparagraph (a), Recurrent publications, of activity 2, Published material, of subprogramme 2, Publications and United Nations Disarmament Information Programme.

Collaboration with NGOs focuses on two main areas, namely, (a) implementation of the United Nations Disarmament Information programme in New York, Geneva and in various regions of the world and (b) coordination of NGO participation in disarmament-related meetings and conferences.
