At its session in 1992, the Board had requested the Secretary to prepare for its 1994 session a study on the procedure for determining final average remuneration (FAR), particularly in respect of situations where the local currency had depreciated significantly in relation to the dollar.

In the absence of a consensus for changing the current arrangements for determining FAR, the Board requested the Secretary to prepare a further study on this matter, taking into account the proposals put forward during the discussions, and to report thereon to the Board at its next regular session in 1996.
٢٧٤ - ونظرا لعدم توافق اﻵراء على تغيير الترتيبات الجاري استخدامها لتحديد المتوسط المذكور، طلب المجلس من اﻷمين أن يعد دراسة أخرى بشأن هذه المسألة، مع مراعاة المقترحات المطروحة خلال المناقشات، وأن يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك الى المجلس في دورته العادية المقبلة، المقرر عقدها في عام ١٩٩٦.

(b) It expressed deep concern and understanding on the humanitarian level for the former Fund participants covered by the Transfer Agreements who were now facing acute hardships and requested the Secretary to continue, " in the most effective manner possible, " his discussions with the Governments concerned;
