47. The Subcommission’s Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery is an important instrument in dealing with trafficking.

(v) Terminate the mandate of the Sub-Commission's Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery and transfer those responsibilities which are not addressed by existing mechanisms to a new special rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery.

In that connection, it noted the importance of the work of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities and supported all the strategies formulated to prevent that practice.

DCI attended and contributed to the meetings of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, making oral or written statements separately or jointly with other related non-governmental organizations.
وشاركت الحركة في جلسات الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع للجنة الفرعية لمنع التمييز وحماية اﻷقليات وساهمت فيها بتقديم بيانات شفوية أو مكتوبة باسمها أو بالاشتراك مع غيرها من المنظمات غير الحكومية ذات الصلة.

11. The Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights has continued to address the issue of trafficking in persons through the activities of its Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery.
11- كما واصلت اللجنة الفرعية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان تناول مسألة الاتجار بالأشخاص هذه من خلال الأنشطة التي يضطلع بها الفريق العامل المعني بأشكال الرق المعاصرة التابع لها.

From 27 to 31 May 2002, the United Nations Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery held its twenty-seventh session in Geneva.

In that regard, she commended the work of the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, as well as that of the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Subcommission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities.

We believe that the Working Group on Contemporary Forms of Slavery of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, and the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography have a special role to play in this.
