I should like to use this opportunity, on behalf of the Authority, to express our appreciation to the outgoing President of the Seabed Disputes Chamber, Judge Treves, and to his colleagues, for the expeditious, diligent and transparent manner in which the advisory proceedings were conducted.
وأود أن أغتنم هذه الفرصة لأعرب باسم السلطة عن مشاعر التقدير لرئيس غرفة منازعات قاع البحار المنتهية ولايته، القاضي تريفيس، ولزملائه على السرعة والمواظبة والشفافية التي ميزت إدارة الإجراءات الافتائية.

These recommendations include those relating to the approval of plans of work for activities in the Area, the protection of the marine environment, the establishment of an environmental monitoring programme for the Authority and that proceedings on behalf of the Authority be instituted before the Seabed Disputes Chamber.
ومن هذه التوصيات ما يتصل بالموافقة على خطط عمل اﻷنشطة المراد الاضطلاع بها في المنطقة، وحماية البيئة البحرية، وإنشاء برنامج رصد بيئي للسلطة، وإقامة الدعاوى باسم السلطة أمام غرفة المنازعات المتعلقة بقاع البحار.

7. Requests the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps on behalf of the Authority to subscribe to the statute of the International Civil Service Commission with effect from 2013;
7 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يتخذ الخطوات اللازمة باسم السلطة للانضمام إلى النظام الأساسي للجنة الخدمة المدنية الدولية اعتبارا من عام 2013؛

19. Bearing in mind the particular status of the Authority as an autonomous international organization under the Convention, the Assembly, at its resumed second session in August 1996, requested the Secretary-General to seek on behalf of the Authority observer status at the United Nations in order to enable the Authority to participate in the deliberations of the General Assembly.
١٩ - طلبت الجمعية إلى اﻷمين العام، في دورتها الثانية المستأنفة في آب/أغسطس ١٩٩٦، بعد أن وضعت في اعتبارها المركز الخاص للسلطة بوصفها منظمة دولية مستقلة ذاتيا بموجب الاتفاقية، أن يطلب باسم السلطة مركز المراقب في اﻷمم المتحدة بغية تمكين السلطة من الاشتراك في مداولات الجمعية العامة.

22. The Finance Committee recommends that the Council and the Assembly of the Authority request the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps on behalf of the Authority to subscribe to the statute of the International Civil Service Commission with effect from 2013.
22 - وتوصي لجنة المالية مجلس السلطة الدولية لقاع البحار وجمعيتها بأن يُطلب إلى الأمين العام اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة باسم السلطة للاشتراك في النظام الأساسي للجنة الخدمة المدنية الدولية اعتبارا من عام 2013.

(g) Request the Secretary-General to take the necessary steps on behalf of the Authority to subscribe to the statute of the International Civil Service Commission with effect from 2013;
(ز) الطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يتخذ باسم السلطة الخطوات اللازمة للاشتراك في النظام الأساسي للجنة الخدمة المدنية الدولية اعتبارا من عام 2013؛

(b) If refusal of an unanticipated honour, decoration, favour or gift from a Government would cause embarrassment to the Authority, the staff member may receive it on behalf of the Authority and then report and entrust it to the Secretary-General, who will either retain it for the Authority or arrange for its disposal for the benefit of the Authority or for a charitable purpose.
(ب) إذا كان رفض تكريم أو وسام أو صنيع أو هدية غير منتظرة من حكومة من الحكومات يسبب إحراجا للسلطة، جاز للموظف أن يتسلمها باسم السلطة ثم يبلغ الأمين العام بها ويسلمها له، فإما أن يحتفظ الأمين العام بها للسلطة أو يرتب أمر التصرف فيها لمنفعة السلطة أو لغرض خيري.
