In that context, in paragraph 11, we seek to continue our collaboration with the Department of Public Information to take appropriate steps to enhance world public awareness of the commemorative activities and the permanent memorial initiative, as well as to continue to facilitate efforts to erect the permanent memorial at United Nations Headquarters.

The present report is submitted in accordance with General Assembly resolution 68/7, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to report on continued action to implement the programme of educational outreach on the transatlantic slave trade and slavery and the steps taken to enhance world public awareness of the commemorative activities and the permanent memorial initiative.

In its follow-up resolutions, including resolution 68/7, the General Assembly further requested the Secretary-General to report on continued action to implement the outreach programme and the steps taken to enhance world public awareness of commemorative activities and the permanent memorial initiative.

3. In its follow-up resolutions, including resolution 67/108, the General Assembly further requested the Secretary-General to report on continued action to implement the outreach programme and steps to enhance world public awareness of the commemorative activities and the permanent memorial initiative.

Requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its sixty-fifth session on continued action to implement the programme of educational outreach, including action by Member States, as well as steps to enhance world public awareness of the commemorative activities and the permanent memorial initiative;
