The present report has been prepared in response to the request made by the General Assembly in its resolution 65/178 that the Secretary-General submit to the Assembly at its sixty-sixth session a report on developments related to global efforts to address agriculture development and food and nutrition security, and on progress in the implementation of the outcome of the World Summit on Food Security.
