On 14 March 1997, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Secretary-General of the Authority signed a Relationship Agreement, the Agreement concerning the Relationship between the United Nations and the Authority, which since that date has been applied provisionally (A/52/260) pending its entry into force upon its approval by the General Assembly of the United Nations and the Assembly of the Authority.
