These proposals are now being discussed during work on a bill on equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women introduced by members of the Majilis.
ويجري حاليا بحث هذا الاقتراح في إطار الأعمال المتصلة بمشروع قانون، مقدم بمبادرة من نواب في المجلس الوطني، يتعلق بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين النساء والرجال.

Article 19. Control and monitoring of compliance with the law on equal rights and opportunities for women and men
المادة 19 - مراقبة ورصد الامتثال للقانون الخاص بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين المرأة والرجل

States to put in place policies to ensure that resettlement runs in tandem with a more vigorous integration policy, aimed at enabling refugees having durable residence status to enjoy equality of rights and opportunities in the social, economic and cultural life of the country, especially as regards: education, including language training and skills development; the labour market; family reunification; and citizenship.
x- يجب على الدول أن تُوجِد سياسات تضمن بها أن تجري عملية إعادة التوطين بالتساوق مع سياسة إدماج أنشط تستهدف تمكين اللاجئين الذين لديهم إقامة دائمة من التمتع بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص في مجالات الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية في البلد، ولا سيما في ما يتعلق بالتعليم الذي يشمل التدريب على اللغة وتنمية المهارات؛ وكذلك في ما يتعلق بسوق العمالة؛ ولمّ شمل الأسرة؛ والحصول على المواطَنَة.

Officials of State agencies who perform executive or administrative functions, as well as directors and other employees of other organizations who perform similar functions, who have violated the requirements of the laws that pertain to equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men shall be held liable under the law.
المسؤولون في وكالات الدولة الذين يؤدون وظائف تنفيذية أو إدارية، وأيضا المديرون وغيرهم من المستخدمين في منظمات أخرى الذين يؤدون وظائف مماثلة، الذين انتهكوا متطلبات القوانين المتعلقة بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين المرأة والرجل يُعتبَرون مسؤولين بمقتضى القانون.

56. The Committee recalled that the 2009 Law on State Guarantees for equal rights and equal opportunities for Men and Women provided for gender equality in labour relations and in education and training.
56 - وذكّرت اللجنة بأن قانون عام 2009 بشأن الضمانات الحكومية المتعلقة بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين الرجال والنساء ينص على المساواة بين الجنسين في علاقات العمل وفي التعليم والتدريب.

The Committee again asked the Government to provide full information on the practical application of the 2009 Law on State Guarantees for equal rights and equal opportunities for Men and Women, as well as on all the measures taken to implement the Strategy for Gender Equality 2006-2016.
وطلبت اللجنة مجددا من الحكومة أن تقدم معلومات كاملة عن التطبيق العملي لقانون عام 2009 بشأن الضمانات الحكومية المتعلقة بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين الرجل والمرأة، وكذلك بشأن جميع التدابير المتخذة من أجل تنفيذ استراتيجية المساواة بين الجنسين للفترة 2006-2016.

While noting the State party's assertion that all provisions of the Convention have been completely incorporated into national law, the Committee is concerned that the State party could not confirm that the draft law on equal rights and equal opportunities submitted to Parliament in 2004 contains a definition of discrimination in line with article 1 of the Convention, as recommended by the Committee in its previous concluding comments.

The Committee requests the State party to ensure that the draft law on equal rights and equal opportunities contains a definition of discrimination in line with article 1 of the Convention, encompassing both direct and indirect discrimination, and extending to acts of discrimination by public and private actors, and also calls on the State party to enact speedily the draft law.

The law is very relevant today for solving many gender-related problems because it is called on to regulate the legal basеs for prohibiting in the society direct, indirect, and latent discrimination on the basis of sex and the violation of equal rights for women and men in culture and education, in the reproductive sphere, and in family relations (see draft law on equal rights and equal opportunities for women and men in Annex No. 1).

3. With regard to the bills on equal rights and opportunities and on domestic violence, she said that the former bill had been scheduled for 2000, but at the end of 1999 its sponsors had failed to be re-elected to Parliament.

Law on equal rights and opportunities for women and men is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, universal principles and norms of international law, international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this law, and other legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
يقوم القانون الخاص بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين المرأة والرجل على أساس دستور جمهورية أوزبكستان، والمبادئ العالمية للقانون الدولي وقواعده، والمعاهدات الدولية لجمهورية أوزبكستان، وهذا القانون، وتشريعات أخرى لجمهورية أوزبكستان.

Control and monitoring of compliance with the laws and other regulatory and legal acts on equal rights and opportunities for women and men shall be performed by the appropriate State administrative authorities in the manner prescribed by law.
مراقبة ورصد الامتثال للقوانين وللإجراءات التنظيمية والقانونية الأخرى الخاصة بالمساواة في الحقوق وتكافؤ الفرص بين المرأة والرجل تقوم بهما السلطات الإدارية المختصة التابعة للدولة بالطريقة التي ينص عليها القانون.

(b) The enactment of the Act on State Guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for Men and Women, in 2009.
