It should be recalled that, in its resolution on the United Nations common system: report of the International Civil Service Commission (67/257), the General Assembly requested the Commission to report on the progress, preliminary findings and administrative aspects of the comprehensive review of the compensation package for staff in the Professional and higher categories.
22 - تجدر الإشارة إلى أنه بموجب القرار (67/257) المتعلق بالنظام الموحد للأمم المتحدة: تقرير لجنة الخدمة المدنية الدولية، طلبت الجمعيةُ العامة إلى اللجنة أن تبلغها بالتقدم المحرز في الاستعراض الشامل لمجموعة التعويضات الخاصة بالموظفين من الفئة الفنية والفئات العليا ونتائجه الأولية وجوانبه الإدارية.

At the 28th meeting, the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions said that the statement submitted by the Secretary-General on the item (A/C.5/53/4) indicated financial implications for the United Nations common system amounting to approximately $9.8 million; the portion relating to the United Nations amounted to approximately $2,453,000.

IV. Estimated financial implications relating to the comprehensive review 13. The Secretary-General recalls that the General Assembly, in its resolution on the United Nations common system (67/257), requested the Commission to report on the progress, preliminary findings and administrative aspects of the comprehensive review of the compensation package for staff in the Professional and higher categories.

The Commission was informed that, in view of the movement of the federal civil service salaries in the United States of America as from 1 January 2004, an adjustment of the United Nations common system's scale of 1.88 per cent would be necessary in 2005 in order to maintain the base/floor scale in line with the comparator's General Schedule (base) scale.
221 - وقد أبلغت اللجنة بأنه نظرا لحركة مرتبات موظفي الخدمة المدنية الاتحادية بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية اعتبارا من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2004، يلزم أن تجرى في عام 2005 تسوية في جدول المرتبات بالنظام الموحد للأمم المتحدة بنسبة 1.88 في المائة للإبقاء على التوافق بين جدول المرتبات الأساسية/الدنيا والمرتبات (الأساسية) في الجدول العام بالبلد المتخذ أساسا للمقارنة.
