The project on e-wastes in South America aims at assisting the participant countries in South America to prepare, draft and update national inventories of e-wastes and at establishing technical directives to deal with e-waste in order to achieve international standards of environmentally sound management;
● يهدف المشروع الخاص بالنفايات الإلكترونية لدى أمريكا الجنوبية إلى مساعدة البلدان المشاركة من أمريكا الجنوبية في إعداد واستكمال قوائم جرد وطنية للنفايات الإلكترونية، ووضع توجيهات تقنية للتعامل مع النفايات الإلكترونية من أجل تحقيق المستويات الدولية للإدارة السليمة بيئياً؛

The e-waste manuals are being put to practical use.
33 - ويجري وضع الأدلة الخاصة بالنفايات الإلكترونية موضع الاستخدام العملي.

1. Agrees to establish a working group on electronic waste, subject to available resources, to tackle the following issues as a priority:
1 - يوافق، رهناً بالموارد المتاحة، على إنشاء فريق عامل معني بالنفايات الإلكترونية لكي يتصدى للمسائل التالية على وجه الأولوية:(12)

StEP is implementing more than a dozen projects in the areas of research, the drafting of white papers, the conduct of pilot studies, development of ewaste management systems, the quantification of the e-waste stream and the provision of policy advice to regular e-waste academies for policymakers, managers and scientists.
وتنفذ هذه المبادرة أكثر من أثنى عشر مشروعاً في مجالات البحوث، وكتابة الأوراق البيضاء، ومسار الدراسات الرائدة، ووضع نظم لإدارة النفايات الإلكترونية، ومعايرة مسارات النفايات وإسداء المشورة المتعلقة بالسياسات للأكاديميات المنتظمة الخاصة بالنفايات الإلكترونية لصانعي السياسات والمدراء والعلماء.

It constituted a shortterm measure, however, designed to obtain recognition of electronic wastes in the Explanatory Notes of the Harmonized System before the next update of the Harmonized System in 2012.
بيد أنه يشكل تدبيرا قصير الأجل يستهدف الحصول على اعتراف بالنفايات الإلكترونية في المذكرات التفسيرية للنظام الموحد قبل تحديثه المرتقب في عام 2012.

(a) Establishment of an African steering group on e-waste that would, inter alia, facilitate mutual cooperation and information exchange;
(أ) إنشاء فريق توجيهي معني بالنفايات الإلكترونية يقوم بجملة من الأمور منها تيسير التعاون وتبادل المعلومات؛

The representative of the Secretariat introduced the progress report, noting that the Mobile Phone Partnership Initiative and the partnership on the environmentally sound management of used and endoflife equipment had been taken up under agenda item 12 on e-waste.
وقدم ممثل الأمانة التقرير المرحلي مشيراً إلى أن مبادرة الشراكة بشأن الهواتف النقالة والشراكة بشأن الإدارة السليمة بيئيا للمعدات المستعملة والمنتهية مدة صلاحيتها تم تناولهما تحت البند 12 من جدول الأعمال، الخاص بالنفايات الإلكترونية.

UNIDO is the lead organization of the e-waste focal area under the Global Partnership on Waste Management and is a member of the StEP initiative.
46 - ومنظمة اليونيدو هي المنظمة الرئيسية لمجال التركيز المتعلق بالنفايات الإلكترونية في إطار الشراكة العالمية بشأن إدارة النفايات كما أنها عضو في مبادرة ' ' حل مشكلة النفايات الإلكترونية``.

4. Also requests the Secretariat, based on the input from Parties and others, to prepare a summary of the status of activities on e-waste worldwide that are relevant to the workplan on ewaste, in order to avoid duplication of efforts, for consideration by the Conference of Parties at its ninth meeting;
4 - يطلب إلى الأمانة أيضا أن تعمل، في ضوء الإسهامات المقدمة من الأطراف وغيرها، على إعداد ملخص لحالة الأنشطة المتعلقة بالنفايات الإلكترونية على نطاق العالم الملائمة لخطة العمل بشأن النفايات الإلكترونية، وذلك لتجنب ازدواج الجهود لينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف في اجتماعه التاسع؛

(f) The Partnership on Measuring ICT for Development set up a task group to develop indicators, prepare methodologies and collect data on e-waste;
(و) أنشأت الشراكة المعنية بقياس استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لأغراض التنمية فرقة عمل تعنى بوضع مؤشرات تتعلق بالنفايات الإلكترونية وإعداد منهجيات وجمع بيانات بشأنها؛

(c) The human rights implications of waste-recycling programmes and the transfer of polluting industries, industrial activities and technologies from one country to another and new trends therein, including e-waste and the dismantling of ships;
(ج) الآثار المترتبة في مجال حقوق الإنسان على برامج تدوير النفايات ونقل الصناعات والأنشطة الصناعية والتقنيات الملوِّثة من بلد إلى آخر واتجاهاتها الحديثة، ويشمل ذلك ما يتعلق بالنفايات الإلكترونية وتفكيك السفن؛

3. Enhanced capacity of Parties in Africa, Asia and the Pacific and Latin America to prevent illegal traffic of e-waste and benefit from the economic opportunities of the environmentally sound recycling of e-waste
3 - تعزيز قدرة الأطراف في أفريقيا وآسيا والمحيط الهادئ وأمريكا اللاتينية على منع الاتجار غير المشروع بالنفايات الإلكترونية وعلى الاستفادة من الفرص الاقتصادية التي يتيحها التدوير السليم بيئياً لهذه النفايات.

2. While several activities contained in the Global Plan of Action of the Strategic Approach are germane to the issue, no work areas specifically pertain to electronic waste.
2 - ولئن كان الأنشطة الواردة في خطة العمل العالمية التابعة للنهج الاستراتيجي من صميم هذه القضية،(10) فإنّه لا وجود لمجال عمل يعنى تحديداً بالنفايات الإلكترونية.

The launch of the ewaste project and the network took place at the fifteenth International Conference of the Pacific Basin Consortium for Environment and Health, held in Honolulu, United States, from 24 to 27 September 2013.
وقد أطلق المشروع والشبكة المعنيان بالنفايات الإلكترونية خلال المؤتمر الدولي الخامس عشر لمجموعة حوض المحيط الهادئ للبيئة والصحة الذي عقد في هونولولو في الولايات المتحدة من 24 إلى 27 أيلول/سبتمبر 2013.

The control system of the Basel Convention and the principles of environmentally sound management need to be reinforced and adhered to in order to ensure that trade in hazardous electronic wastes is properly monitored and managed so as to protect human health and the environment.
6 - ويتعين تعزيز نظام الرقابة في اتفاقية بازل ومبادئ الإدارة السليمة والالتزام بها لضمان رصد التجارة بالنفايات الإلكترونية الخطرة بصورة سليمة وإدارتها لحماية صحة البشر والبيئة.
