Mr. ROWE (Australia) said that his delegation had been unable to support the draft decision on military activities and arrangements by the colonial Powers in Territories under their administration, since the wording of the draft was not substantially different from the wording that had been used at previous sessions of the General Assembly.

The General Assembly requests the Secretary-General to continue, through all means at his disposal, to inform world public opinion of the facts concerning the military activities and arrangements in colonial Territories which are impeding the implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, contained in Assembly resolution 1514 (XV).
١٣ - وتطلب الجمعية العامة الى اﻷمين العام أن يستمر، عن طريق جميع الوسائل التي توجد تحت تصرفه، في إطلاع الرأي العام العالمي على الحقائق المتعلقة باﻷنشطة والترتيبات العسكرية في اﻷقاليم الاستعمارية التي تعرقل تنفيذ إعلان منح الاستقلال للبلدان والشعوب المستعمرة، الوارد في قرار الجمعية العامة ١٥١٤ )د - ١٥(.

11. The General Assembly requests the Secretary-General to continue, through the Department of Public Information of the Secretariat, to inform world public opinion of the facts concerning the military activities and arrangements in colonial Territories which are impeding the implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, contained in General Assembly resolution 1514 (XV).
١١ - وتطلب الجمعية العامة من اﻷمين العام أن يستمر، عن طريق إدارة شؤون اﻹعلام التابعة لﻷمانة العامة، في اطلاع الرأي العام العالمي على الحقائق المتعلقة باﻷنشطة والترتيبات العسكرية في اﻷقاليم المستعمرة والتي تعرقل تنفيذ إعلان منح الاستقلال للبلدان والشعوب المستعمرة الوارد في قرار الجمعية العامة ٤١٥١ )د - ٥١(.

At its 2nd meeting, on 30 September, the Committee decided, without objection and in accordance with established practice, to consider, in conjunction with agenda item 91, chapter VI of the report of the Special Committee relating to military activities and arrangements by colonial Powers in Territories under their administration (see A/52/23 (Part III)).1

At its 2nd meeting, on 17 September, the Committee decided, without objection and in accordance with established practice, to consider, in conjunction with agenda item 88, chapter VI of the report of the Special Committee relating to military activities and arrangements by colonial Powers in Territories under their administration (see A/53/23 (Part III)).1
