I have the honour to submit herewith the report of the Group of Governmental Experts on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons.

The workshop is part of a broad project aimed at capacity-building for the implementation of the international instrument on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons.

My delegation nevertheless welcomes the convening of the first substantive session of the Open-ended Working Group on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons, in which 106 countries participated, thus demonstrating their interest and hope in the Group's work.

15. States receiving information related to Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons in accordance with the provisions of this instrument and in the context of a tracing request will respect all restrictions placed on its use.
15 - تحترم الدول التي تتلقى معلومات تتصل بتعقب الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة وفقا لأحكام هذا الصك، وفي سياق طلب للتعقب، كل القيود المفروضة على استخدام تلك المعلومات.

4. To initiate a separate process, within the framework of the United Nations, on the issue of ammunition for illicit small arms and light weapons in a comprehensive manner, as recommended by the report of the Open-ended Working Group on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons.
4 - بدء عملية مستقلة، في إطار الأمم المتحدة، بشأن النظر على نحو شامل في مسألة ذخيرة الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة، كما أوصى بذلك تقرير الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية المعني بتعقب الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة.

ix. The Open-ended Working Group on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons (approximately 40 formal and drafting meetings), including the preparation of substantive notes and drafts for the Bureau, sessional notes, conference room papers and other documentation for the Working Group;

34 - بدء عملية، في إطار الأمم المتحدة، للنظر في مسألة إمكانية تطبيق أحكام الصك الدولي المتعلق بتمكين الدول من التعرف على الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة وتعقبها في الوقت المناسب وبطريقة يعوّل عليها في مجال عمليات الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام، على النحو الموصى به في تقرير الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية المعني بتعقب الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة.

The report of the United Nations Group of Governmental Experts on Tracing Illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons (A/58/138) and the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Their Parts and Components and Ammunition, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (General Assembly resolution 55/255, annex) served as reference documents for the discussions.
وتمثلت الوثائق المرجعية للمناقشات في تقرير فريق الخبراء الحكوميين المعني بتعقب الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة غير المشروعة (A/58/138) وبروتوكول مكافحة التصنيع غير المشروع للأسلحة النارية وأجزائها ومكوناتها وذخيرتها والاتجار غير المشروع بها المكمل لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية (قرار الجمعية العامة 55/255، المرفق).
