واختتم حديثه قائلاً إن الأفراد ذوي الإعاقة يُنظر إليهم كمواطنين كاملي الأهلية يسهمون في تنمية البلد وينبغي أن يكونوا قادرين على أن يتمتعوا بحقهم في المشاركة في المجتمع.

615. With regard to indicators for measuring the full enjoyment by persons with disabilities of their right to participate in political and public life and the support provided to persons with disabilities for the creation and maintenance of organizations to represent their rights and interests at the local, regional and national levels, the following activities were carried out:
615- وفيما يتعلق بمؤشرات قياس مدى تمتع الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بحقهم في المشاركة في الحياة السياسية والحياة العامة، والدعم المقدم للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة من أجل إنشاء وصيانة منظمات للدفاع عن حقوقهم ومصالحهم على الأصعدة الإقليمية والمحلية والوطنية، نُفذت الأنشطة التالية:

At this crossroads, young people are vigorously claiming their right to participate in the country's public life and reconstruction, and where the needs that have arisen since 12 January 2010 oblige us to support them and to work for them and with them to ensure that their future is better equipped for the transition.

29. The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights has emphasized the need to take " appropriate measures to remedy structural forms of discrimination so as to ensure that the underrepresentation of persons from certain communities in public life does not adversely affect their right to take part in cultural life " .
29 - وشددت لجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية على ضرورة اتخاذ " تدابير ملائمة لتصحيح أشكال التمييز الهيكلية لضمان ألا يلحق تدني تمثيل الأشخاص المنتمين إلى جماعات معينة في الحياة العامة تأثيراً ضاراً بحقهم في المشاركة في الحياة الثقافية " ().

25. Mr. Felix (Switzerland), speaking as a youth delegate, said that the full and constructive participation of youth as equal partners was not merely a political commitment, and called for recognition of their right to take part in decision-making at all levels, making use of their knowledge and experience and considering them as key agents in society, able to make an important contribution to their country's development.
