Throughout the five decades, the United Nations programme in public administration and finance has focused on building national capacity for formulating and sustaining development activities.

101. Historically, the United Nations programme in public administration and finance has played a leading role in facilitating exchanges of ideas, experiences and innovations among Member States in the field of public administration and development.
١٠١ - من الناحية التاريخية، يضطلع برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال اﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة بدور قيادي في تسهيل تبادل اﻵراء والخبرات والابتكارات بين الدول اﻷعضاء في ميدان اﻹدارة العامة والتنمية.

It will, therefore, not only require relevant United Nations bodies, including the United Nations programme in public administration and finance, to maintain their current level of services, but may also mean they are called upon to provide increased services in the very near future.

24. Currently, the activities of the United Nations programme in public administration and finance are carried out within the framework of the medium-term plan for the period 1992-1997 and the fifth programming cycle for UNDP funds.
٢٤ - تنفذ أنشطة برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال اﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة، في الوقت الحالي، في إطار الخطة المتوسطة اﻷجل للفترة ١٩٩٢-١٩٩٧، وفي إطار دورة البرمجة الخامسة لصناديق برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي.

We assess positively the activities of the United Nations in the field of public administration, in the framework of the United Nations programme in public administration and finance as well as in the activities of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the International Labour Organization and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in this area.

The United Nations has a cardinal role in the field of public administration and development, dating back to 1948, when the International Centre for Training in Public Administration was established. the United Nations programme in public administration and finance helps many developing countries whose economies are in a state of transition; in addition, a considerable role is played by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
إن لﻷمم المتحدة دورا لا خلاف عليه في مجال اﻹدارة العامة والتنمية، ويعود هذا الدور إلى عام ١٩٤٨ حيث تم إنشاء المركز الدولي للتدريب في مجال اﻹدارة العامة، كما يقوم برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال اﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة بدور كبير في تنفيذ العديد من البرامج في الدول النامية والدول التي تمــــر اقتصاداتها بمرحلة التحول ويضاف إلى ما سبق الدور الكبير لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي في هذا المجال.

15. The twelfth meeting of the Group of Experts on Public Administration and Finance was convened in New York from 31 July to 11 August 1995, to analyse and report the major trends and challenges for public administration in developing countries and to recommend actions for strengthening the role of the United Nations programme in public administration and finance.
٥١ - عُقد الاجتماع الثاني عشر لفريق الخبراء المعنيين باﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة في نيويورك، في الفترة من ١٣ تموز/يوليه إلى ١١ آب/أغسطس ٥٩٩١ لكي يحلل ويبلغ عن الاتجاهات والتحديات الرئيسية في مجال اﻹدارة العامة في البلدان النامية، وليوصي بإجراءات لتعزيز دور برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال اﻹدارة العامة والمالية العامة.
