2. Takes note of the report on the independent evaluation on the New Agenda;

Welcomes the report of the Secretary-General on the final review and appraisal of the United Nations New Agenda for the Development of Africa in the 1990s, in particular the lessons learned about the New Agenda, as well as recommendations and proposals on the modalities for the future engagement of the United Nations with the New Partnership for Africa's Development;
1 - ترحب بتقرير الأمين العام بشأن الاستعراض والتقييـم النهائيين لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الجديد للتنمية في أفريقيا في التسعينات()، لا سيما الدروس المستفادة بشأن البرنامج الجديد فضلا عن التوصيات والمقترحات بشأن طرائق اشتراك الأمم المتحدة في المستقبل في الشراكة الجديدة من أجل تنمية أفريقيا؛

(c) The Executive Board will take action on the new programme at such time as the adjustments required under paragraphs 1 and 2 have been made;
(ج) وسيتخذ المجلس التنفيذي تدابير بشأن البرنامج الجديد عندما تُجرى التعديلات المطلوبة بموجب الفقرتين 1 و 2؛

43. Notes the proposal of the Secretary-General regarding the New Agenda for Development in Africa for the 1990s, and requests the Secretary-General to consider the creation of a new budget section relating to this New Agenda with recommendations for additional resources and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its resumed forty-eighth session;
٣٤ - تلاحظ مقترح اﻷمين العام بشأن البرنامج الجديد للتنمية في افريقيا في التسعينات، وتطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن ينظر في إنشاء باب جديد في الميزانية لهذا البرنامج الجديد مع تقديم توصيات بشأن الموارد الاضافية وأن يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك الى الدورة الثامنة واﻷربعين المستأنفة للجمعية العامة؛

18. The Executive Board may wish to take note of the present report and determine the frequency of reporting on the New Agenda for the Development of Africa and/or UNDP programmes in Africa generally.
١٨ - قد يود المجلس التنفيذي أن يحيط علما بهذا التقرير وأن يحدد المواعيد الدورية لتقديم تقارير بشأن البرنامج الجديد لتنمية افريقيا في التسعينات و/أو البرامج التي يضطلع بها البرنامج اﻹنمائي في افريقيا عموما.
